Stop coming up with business ideas, find one that already works

You’re probably like I used to be. Always have an idea for a business, but it never gets off the ground. Buying an existing business for a small amount that has found market fit (aka stuff sells) speeds up the process.

You’ll get a functioning website, relationships with suppliers and often a customer base to sell to. The trick is finding the right one for you. This training will help you do that and guide you right through the entire process.

Would you give up a holiday to own a business that could pay for all future holidays or become your main income?

No matter how much your last holiday was, could be as little as $500/AU$750/£250, there are eCommerce businesses for sale at all price ranges. Buying businesses is no longer the domain of large companies. I’ll show you how based on my experiences.

Why Buy over Build?

Quicker

In a busy world, time is short. Everything is setup and good to go. No painful website setup (it’s always painful), no finding the product or suppliers.

Know the product sells

The hardest part of building any new business is finding something that sells. A new product seems like a good idea to you, but will enough buyers get their wallet out? You only know once you’ve invested a lot.

Cheaper

I’ve worked in eCommerce for nearly 20 years. I know realistically how much it costs to build and the chances of finding buyers. It’s AUD$15k (£7.5k/USD$10k) per idea. AUD$5k(£7.5k/USD$3.3k) for stock, AUD $5k(£7.5k/USD$3.3k) marketing and $5k/$2.5k all the other stuff (ut does add up. Chances of the first idea work are slim, so you’ll need three goes at it, which is AUD$45k/£22.5k/USD$30k.

That’s a damn expensive holiday!

What about drop shipping

I get the appeal. No money down, run some ads, find the perfect product and BAM you can buy a Lambo.

Let me save you the time and effort. Been there and tried it. It’s the modern get-rich-quick scheme. You’re selling the same product as a 1,000 other stores, so competition is high, margins are low and you get a lot of customer complaints because of slow delivery and shoddy product.

If you want more details on why it’s a bad idea, listen to this interview I did about why drop shipping sucks.
